Sage Music: Your Personalized Music School in New York City

We don't subscribe to the one-size-fits-all curriculum that many places follow. We believe in an individualized approach to learning music. New students receive a free onboarding session where a representative will discuss the goals and hopes you have for your lessons. We'll also evaluate your personality, learn your preferences, and then build a customized program. Becoming a student at Sage Music gives you access to our trained teachers, the Arpeggio lesson system, a tight-knit community, excellent client service, modern technology, and so much more.

Yes, we are open seven days a week and go late into the evenings during the week. Please check our music school locations for exact hours.

About 63% of our students are adults who have come back to learning music after years away or are starting for the first time. It is never too late to pursue your musical ambitions, and we will teach you how to learn more efficiently. Gone are the days of practicing for 3 hours daily to achieve minor results. Our science-backed methods break the mold of traditional thinking and show proven success.

We know every student's situation is not the same. That's why we offer multiple subscriptions to fit your needs. Can’t commit to the traditional “same day/same time” each week? Our Flex Plan gives you the SAME number of monthly lessons but lets YOU schedule out each week at your convenience. Plus, our super accommodating, unlimited reschedule policy allows you to reschedule any lesson with 24 hours’ notice without any penalty.

You will never be able to judge whether lessons with Sage are right for you after one lesson. We have so much to teach you! The first few lessons are about evaluating your current skill level with your instrument and helping you get started. After that, you will steadily become acquainted with our Arpeggio® lesson framework.

Effective, durable learning doesn't happen overnight. It takes about 3-5 weeks to form new habits. That means you won't start to see the real benefits of working with us in a single lesson.

We recommend trying our services for at least a month to see what we can do for you.

You don't have to worry about being locked into any long-term contracts if you decide to enroll. Our students stay 3 times longer than at other schools because of the quality of our programs. Membership is month to month, and there's no risk for you.

Your membership gives you weekly one-on-one instruction, lesson recordings, access to our student app, and one of the industry's most progressive music learning systems: Arpeggio® training. You’ll also be able to participate in recitals, group classes, community events, and weekly open mics at no additional cost.
