Sage Music Webstore Policies
The following returns, refunds, and cancellation policies apply only to physical and digital goods purchased at the Sage Music Webstore. These policies do not apply to classes or lessons purchased on the webstore. The policies governing lessons and classes are contained within the School Policies.
Returns are accepted for any reason within 30 days of purchase with the following restrictions:
Musical Instruments must be in new or like new condition, without damage, with all original packaging. Cost of repair, replacement, and loss of value will be deducted from any refunded fee.
Woodwind and Brass Instruments
Woodwind and brasswind instruments may not be returned for full refund. The cost of sanitizing the instrument and/or replacing the mouthpiece will be deducted from any refunded fee. The sanitizing fee is $20.00. Mouthpiece replacement fees will be the market value of the mouthpiece plus $10.00.
Unless otherwise specified, digital products such as sound recordings and digital sheet music are not returnable after purchase.
If the incorrect item was delivered, please call 718-361-2922. Sage Music will exchange the product for the correct item. The item must be kept in new or like new condition, without damage, unopened, and with all original packaging. Sage Music will pay for return shipping on incorrect items.
The following items can be returned only if defective or unopened: strings, reeds, recorders, flutophones, drumheads, drumsticks, clothing, footwear, sheet music, cleaners, humidifiers, picks, polishes and polishing cloths. Defective items will only be exchanged for the same product.
To request a return call us at 718-361-2922 to receive a return authorization. Returns are not accepted without a return authorization.
Returns Exceeding the Return Period
Returns made after the 30 day return period will not be accepted. The buyer will be responsible for all shipping costs, including the cost to ship the products back to the customer. Sage Music is not required to make any refunds or exchanges.

Refunds are made within 2-3 business days after a returned item is received and inspected. It may take longer for your payment to arrive, depending upon your bank.
Refunds are made to the same payment method used for purchase after the item is received and inspected.
Items received in original condition
Items received in their original condition will be refunded for the purchase price, less any shipping fees paid by Sage Music if the item qualified for free shipping. Buyer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.
Items not received in original condition
Items not in their original condition will be refunded the original purchase price, less any fees assessed to return the item to its original condition or the cost of lost value, and less any fees paid by Sage Music if the item qualified for free shipping. Buyer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.
Orders may be cancelled at anytime before the product is shipped with the following exceptions:
Orders may not be cancelled after an order has shipped, but may be returned according to the above return policy. Most orders are shipped the same or next business day.
Unless otherwise specified, orders for digital products such as sound recordings and digital music may not be cancelled.
