“Every voice is different, and there is such beauty in that. I love being able to watch my voice students evolve as they begin to understand how to create a freer, easier sound that is synthesized with the whole body. My role as a voice teacher is to give my students the tools to find their own voices, to develop their ability to produce good a great sound, and to create a safe and effective vocal technique all on their own.”
At Sage Music, where the faculty focus on teaching students how to learn and how to practice, DJ gets to know each student’s goals for his or her voice, provides exercises for daily breath and vocal warm-up routines, and creates a plan specific for each student to help them achieve their own unique goals.
DJ performs as a choral and solo artist in the New York and Boston areas and is excited to be teaching with Sage Music.
