Sage Music Presents The Iraqi Book
We wanted to share news about an exciting upcoming event presented by Sage Music. On October 27
, Sage Music founder Jason Sagebiel will be performing a live concert entitled The Iraqi Book
at the Secret Theater
in Long Island City.
On the eve of his 10-year anniversary returning home from the Iraq War, Jason will be recounting his inspirational story of serving in Iraq as a Marine Corp., scout sniper. While in Iraq, Jason befriended Iraqi musicians to study music and learned how to play the oud. During his assignment, he also sustained a brain injury that left him temporarily debilitated. Upon his return home, Jason leveraged his talent to rehabilitate himself through music therapy and today, helps others discover the wonderful world of music. During the show, Jason will perform: two string quartets, two Iraqi songs and a solo oud performance.
We hope you’ll join us for this very special evening!
